The Inhabitants is an experimental performance art piece I created as part of The Intruders, a site-specific exhibition for Bangkok Design Week 2021.

The performance is meant to embody a sense of intimacy and private space between the two actors as a way to transform the visiting audience who are allowed to enter the space freely as the intruders. This is a metaphor for the present-day gentrification issue in the area as Talad Noi as a neighborhood constantly intruded upon by larger corporations and middle and upper-class hipster culture disrupting the local inhabitants.
